Cafe Maximilian in Speyer

The mulled wine to go was not great. Ready-made mulled wine warmed up with steam from the bottle, served in a paper cup and that for € 3.50 per cup is a cheek.

Great breakfast then you've come to the right place. Highly recommended 10 out of 10. The only small point of criticism are the cafe variants (really all tried), unlike the food, are unfortunately only average. But the breakfast is so good that it is still worth it.

Breakfast delicious, plentiful and sufficient choice ... staff mostly friendly ... The only drawback (for me): you can't drink coffee without milk ... I would still like to come back ...

A nice cafe / eatery. The in-house "Maximilian Salad" is a good portion and very tasty. The ice chocolate also tastes great. The selection of cakes was a bit poor (3 types of cake). Gladly again.

In the three weeks on site everything is and was very nice and good, the staff was very courteous and tried very hard even in stressful situations. A visit to this coffee house is definitely worth it. Greetings to the staff!

Very delicious breakfast. Service super friendly and prices absolutely OK. A disadvantage but no deduction for it. There are still no alternatives for milk.

We liked it! Although it was Wednesday evening, the cafe was very busy. Inside there was nice, quiet music, outside you can enjoy the city of Speyer ... the tarte flambée ordered was good, and the Pinot Blanc tasted good too ...

Very good for me back then, unfortunately not so interesting today because of the toilets. The food is quite good and you get full. Service relatively friendly.

We recently had breakfast there again, it was delicious, the waitress courteous and very friendly. Since we had a bit of a struggle with the wasps, we asked for an ashtray full of burning coffee powder, which came promptly. I can 100% recommend this cafe. We weren't there for the last time. It says close at midnight. At 10:45 pm we are already swept out of the tent.

Had a nice Bitburger on the terrace and then again not been inside on the terrace it was nice.

Went there for breakfast twice within a month and we are not coming back. Long waiting times and carelessly prepared breakfast. Drinks arrived at least 15 minutes before the actual breakfast. Thus, the tea with the bun is either drunk cold or empty. Somehow it all doesn't fit. It is also not cheap, there is no longer any reason for us to go there for breakfast. Too bad.

I have always enjoyed coming here since I was young. Unfortunately we don't live in the region anymore, but yesterday we visited our home town again, the magical Speyer. Wonderful ambience, nice snacks and small dishes, including lunch. The homemade iced tea was delicious and refreshing. I feel right at home there.

Waiter doesn't feel like it A "Hello" is too much to ask ... Food halfway ok. Way too expensive! Waiting time super long.

It is best to reserve in advance, it is always very well attended. The bar offer is very good :) Unfortunately, the staff is often a bit arrogant and not very friendly. But there are also nice staff

Unfortunately, we have seen this better. Very inattentive service this time. The table / space situation is currently adapted to the requirements for Corona. This makes the table too small for the number of people. In this situation in particular, you want attentive service that quickly clears away dishes that you no longer need. Regular guests seem to be served preferentially. Please think again, then gladly again

Great place for delicious food or cocktails! I recommend the burger or the club sandwich.

Waited an extremely long time for service. Very long time. We didn’t expect to spen our morning waiting to place an order and to have breakfast. If you eat here you may want to plan for an extra day in Speyer.

Cozy coffee shop in the heart of Speyer. Nice place for breakfast, lunch, a small dinner or just having a coffee or a beer with friends. Some vegan options available (just ask the staff!). Staff is nice and helpful. It’s a place with lots of locals. If you want to be there with a bigger group for breakfast or evenings, you should definitely make a reservation.

Lively German cafe with a good English menu, and good coffee. Breakfast is probably the best in town, friendly and helpful waitstaff, clean toilets and good service.

Food much to expensive for the Frozen quick serve stuff you get... Quick prep food served after waiting 45 min I guess allows them to charge more, our it's all the meaningless hipster posters on the wall

The worst coffee I have tried around the world, and we asked for 4 coffees, and none of them were acceptable for human consume.
